EXODUS Frontman Issues DVD Update

Vocalist Rob Dukes of San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS has sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"The [forthcoming EXODUS] DVD is coming along killer. After four years of being in the band and filming a lot of cool stuff, I have finally almost come to the end of this chapter and editing is almost done. The 65-minute Wacken [Open Air] set looks killer and Andy Sneap [MEGADETH, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY] is mixing the audio, so it's gonna sound crushing. The documentary is about 90 minutes, with a lot of bonus material, about 30 minutes, maybe more, and all our videos. I'm putting in a picture gallery as well, my personal camera and some photos from fans. I have Gary [Holt, guitar] and Tom [Hunting, drums] and Lee [Altus, guitar] talking about the old days. It's funny and real — some meltdowns and a few drunken moments that are priceless. It's going to be two DVDs and an audio CD of the Wacken show. If all goes well, it looks like it will be a summer release, maybe August."

British extreme metal drumming legend Nick Barker (CRADLE OF FILTH, TESTAMENT, DIMMU BORGIR, BRUJERIA, ATROCITY) filled in for EXODUS' Tom Hunting during the band's recent European tour with OVERKILL.

"Let There Be Blood", the controversial re-recording of EXODUS' classic 1985 debut album "Bonded by Blood", has been released on limited-edition red vinyl. Only 2,500 numbered copies are available via Zaentz Records' web site.

"Let There Be Blood" sold 2,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Issued on October 28 through Zaentz Records, the CD was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California; JKZ Production Studio in San Rafael, California; with vocal tracks recorded at J. Rod Production Studios in New City, New York. Andy Sneap mixed the album at his Backstage studio in Derbyshire, England.
